Cardiff City submit ‘big offer’ to sign Serbian striker

Cardiff City are said to have made a ‘big offer’ for a striker as they continue their bid to add goals to their current squad. The Bluebirds have been heavily linked with a move for Kieffer Moore this month, but news has not been forthcoming on that front.

Bournemouth are still undecided over allowing the frontman to leave, and if they do decide to loan him out, there will be competition aplenty. In the meantime, Cardiff are continuing their search for a striker, and they have reportedly submitted an offer.

According to TV 2, talks are already underway between Cardiff and Vålerenga over striker Andrej Ilic. The 23-year-old forward only joined the Norwegian club in the summer, but he has already racked up nine goals in 15 league games.

The 6ft2″ frontman only cost Vålerenga less than £1million, so it’s likely the ‘big offer’ claim suggests an offer that would get the Norwegian club a quick profit. The ‘big’ part of the claim is likely to be in the context of the club, who are now in the second division following relegation from Norway’s top flight last season.

Talks are said to be underway, though a deal has not been reached yet. Still, the report claims the Bluebirds are winning the race, leading French and American sides at this stage.
