Cardiff City suffer potential injury blow during Leeds United clash
Cardiff City suffered a potential injury blow during a disappointing first half against Leeds United at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Bluebirds went behind within 13 minutes after a Patrick Bamford goal from close range, and Dan James added a second just after the half-hour mark.
City created the odd chance of their own but looked outclassed by a strong Leeds side in the first half, with Crysencio Summerville causing all sort of problems down Leeds’ left-hand side. It got worse for Cardiff just a couple of minutes before half time when Joe Ralls pulled up suddenly with a muscular injury.

We will need to wait until Cardiff do a scan on Ralls’ issue to discover how long the midfielder will be out for, but it’s likely to be at least a couple of weeks, given the nature of it. In better news, Karlan Grant was able to start today after suffering a hamstring tweak a couple of weeks ago in the defeat to Leicester City. It was initially feared that the forward had ruptured his hamstring, but the issue proved far less serious than that.
