Cardiff City could cash in on midfielder amid interest from six clubs

Cardiff City could cash in on a midfielder as they look to continue strengthening on deadline day. The Bluebirds have already confirmed two loan signings, and they could land a new creative midfielder in David Turnbull.

Meanwhile, we could yet see an outgoing in the form of Andy Rinomhota, who has struggled for regular starts under Erol Bulut so far. In fact, the 26-year-old has only made three Championship appearances in total this season.

That has led to interest from the Championship and beyond, with Football Insider reporting that Yorkshire clubs Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday are both interested. Meanwhile, League One club Blackpool. Turkish club Goztepe and French clubs Amiens and Valenciennes are all interested in his signature.

Rinomhota is valued at less than £1million by Transfermarkt, and it’s unlclear how much City would ask for him, but the fact so many clubs are interested could help. City signed the midfielder for free in 2022, so they will make a profit one way or another should he depart on deadline day.
