David Turnbull names two Cardiff City players who impressed him in training

New Cardiff City signing David Turnbull has been speaking about the two players who have impressed him during his early days with the Bluebirds. Turnbull arrived on deadline day from Celtic, penning a three-year deal upon his £2million transfer.

The creative midfielder was heading into the final months of his contract at Parkhead, meaning the deal suited all involved, especially given he wasn’t featuring regularly under Brendan Rodgers this season. Turnbull has already featured for City, coming off the bench during the away win over Watford last weekend, and he is likely to play a big part between now and the end of the season.

In the meantime, he has spoken about the players who have impressed him in his early days training with the club. “It’s been great, the standard’s been really good in training,” he said in Thursday’s press conference. “The senior boys really drive that. All of the lads have made me feel welcome and are asking about stuff. It’s been really good.

“You see the quality the boys have in training, and the game last week with Rubin [Colwill]. Rambo [Aaron Ramsey] speaks for himself, he’s had a great career. You notice it when he came back into training last week the difference and the quality he’s got.”
