Erol Bulut warns Cardiff City to ‘be careful’ of key Ipswich Town trait

Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut has warned his side about Ipswich Town’s character ahead of Saturday’s clash at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The Bluebirds were one of Ipswich’s man victims earlier in the season, with Kieran McKenna’s high-flyers garnering a reputation for late comebacks this season. Earlier in the season, City led 2-0 at Portman Road only to leave empty-handed, and the Championship’s second-placed team came back from 2-1 down to beat Bristol City by the same scoreline last time out.

Speaking about Ipswich’s ability to come from behind and learning from previous mistakes, Bulut said in his pre-match press conference: “That was one of the games where we could have taken at least one point. Ipswich are a team who have got a lot of wins in the last 15 minutes, scoring also against Bristol City. They started a little bit quiet. After 2-1, they start to wake up. The last 15-20 minutes, they changed the game again. We have to be careful with this.

“We know what is expected of us. With one day less of recovery, we will be against them on Saturday. We have to recover quickly and prepare for the game on Saturday. It will be a tough game, of course. I hope we can get what we are expecting.”
