Hull City sweat on two key injuries ahead of Cardiff City clash

Hull City are sweating on injury issues ahead of their crucial clash with Cardiff City on Saturday. The Bluebirds returned to winning ways on Monday, disrupting Coventry City’s playoff charge with a 2-1 away win.

Erol Bulut’s men will look to do the same this weekend, and this time at home when they face a Hull side in the last chance saloon as far a playoff spot goes. The Tigers lost to Leeds United on Monday night, conceding twice late on, and that leaves them just one place above the Bluebirds, six points off the playoffs, but they do have a game in hand.

Liam Rosenior’s men know they have to win in South Wales to keep their playoff hopes alive, but ahead of the clash, defenders Lewie Coyle and Ryan Giles are both injury concerns.

Coyle is the Hull skipper while Giles, who previously spent time with Cardiff, is on loan from Luton Town. The former picked up a groin injury during the clash with Leeds, limping off in the second half. The Hull Daily Mail say both players will get a late assessment ahead of the Cardiff clash.
