Cardiff City player ‘attracting interest’ amid impending exit

Cardiff City goalkeeper Rohan Luthra is reportedly attracting attention ahead of the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old was snapped up by the Bluebirds in 2021 from Crystal Palace’s youth ranks, but he has not been able to break through.

Luthra has managed just one league appearances, struggling for games even within a goalkeeping department that has seen a fair amount of change over the last couple of years, and his contract is set to expire this summer.

We still don’t know Cardiff’s retained list, with the club first hoping to agree a new contract with manager Erol Bulut, but Luthra is expected to move on at the end of his current deal.

With that in mind, Sky Sports have reported that there is ‘interest’ from a number of other clubs ahead of his contract expiring, although the clubs nor the level they play at have been detailed at this point. As far as Cardiff are concerned, Ethan Horvath, who signed in January, is now the number one, with Jak Alnwick the number two.
