Wrexham goalkeeper makes bold claim involving Cardiff City and Swansea City

Former Cardiff City and current Wrexham goalkeeper Mark Howard has been speaking about the potential of his current club overtaking the Bluebirds and Swansea City.

Wrexham have managed back-to-back promotions to reach League One, and they will now be eyeing a third straight promotion, though League One has traditionally proved a big step up compared to the two divisions below.

Still, there is confidence among those in the North, especially given their wealthy backing. And their goalkeeper, Howard, who spent the 2006/07 season with Cardiff, believes there is potential for the Dragons to overtake Cardiff and Swansea.

“Potentially we could overtake them,” Howard said, via Best Online Poker Sites. “It would be a huge feat to do so with the history and tradition that Cardiff and Swansea, two of my former clubs, have.”

“To say we are chasing that sort of legacy is incredible in itself. Just look at where Wrexham have been for the last 15 years,” he added.

“We’ve had back to back promotions and now that people are starting to compare us to Cardiff or Swansea, clubs where I have been at and who have incredible fan bases, is amazing really.”
